Three Points South at Buckeye Lake

Designer: Contemporary 1880, Sandy Heifner
Architect: Sullivan Bruck Architects

This charming lakeside cottage was the creation of a team developing the Nantucket-Martha's Vineyard theme to a new development of second homes on the shore of Buckeye Lake. Every room has a view and common areas are open to one another.

The kitchen has cozy warm pine cabinetry and hand made soft blue patterned Epro tile on back splashes and counters. The painted Habersham chairs easily allowed the breakfast area become company dining as well. The large patterned Ralph Lauren wall covering was selected to enhance the "been here forever" look of the great room filled with antique treasures and abundant comfortable seating.

The front door was painted bright red to add punch to the soft gray exterior siding and a little excitement to the entry. Lit only by the diminutive brass chandelier, the small foyer has a herringbone pattern wood floor leading directly in to the great room.

The master bedroom was purposely designed with minimal furnishings and simple cotton duck bedspread and chair fabric to bring in the seashore feel and allow the lake maximum viewing.
